strange lapse between episodes...
Okay, I don't own any of the Trigun DVDs (too poor at the moment, I'll get them eventually), so I get all my information from the Cartoon Network version, which is probably at least mildly edited (syndicated programs lose 2 minutes of air time or something, but I think they just cut out Trigun's intro...which is really cool, and I dunno why they did it).
So, I think the episode today is called Juli City I think (the one that gets blown up, not sure if that's right). It's the one after Vash stops the Nebraska family. There's the woman from Juli City who wants to kill Vash, but that doesn't happen until the end of the episode and there's the guy with knives on his arms that tries to kill Vash twice. Meryl's **** at him a couple times during the episode...and then everyone's happy at the end when he saves the plant from exploding (except the plant manager lady from Julo City). Then she learns Vash took care of her after the city was destroyed and that he has no memory of it.
Well, here comes my dilemma:
The next episode is B.D.N (or something like that)...and it starts with Vash fighting with a little kid against this 'Dynamo' guy (mentioned in the 'next episdoe' segment of the last episode) on a sand steamer.
This is a huge gap in story. How and why is Vash on the sand steamer? What happened to the lady from the last episode? How did Dynamo capture the ship? Why do they sabotage it so the brakes don't work? WTH IS GOING ON?! Later on Milly and Meryl end up being in some of Dynamo's henchmen's uniforms...how'd they get them? Why is that kid in the episode, besides being the one to know where the 2nd emergeny brake in the furnace like room is?
...I'm confused. Can anyone fill in some gaps for me?
(I'd assume is Cartoon Network's editing...otherwise it's just kind of weird...maybe it's explained in the comic (manga, I guess) I heard about.)

The chick at the plant storyline wraps itself up there; it's basically a one-episode occurance. The missing ep details Vash getting on the steamer, then "Neon" guy attacking it, Vash and the kid meeting up ect. It's been a while since I saw Trigun but yeah, almost certainly you're missing an episode in the middle there.
Just watch the next episode, and all will be explained. Including why Vash sparkles! (Japanese version, dunno if they'll include it or not in the dub)
Nope, i'm checking my big book of Trigun facts and also my DVDs and Episode 6 is Lost July, the episode with the girl and the guy with knives and Episode 7 is B.D.N. (Brilliant Dynamites Neon), no missing episode there.
*EDIT: Unlesssssss the episode he is reverring to is "Between The Wasteland And The Sky", episode 8, which is the continuation of B.D.N., is set on the steamer and has Brilliant Dynamites Neon and the Bad Lads Gang in it.
Gecko, are you sure the episode was called "B.D.N.", because if it was actually "Between The Wasteland And The Sky" i can understand the confusion.

Read my edit dude, there's a possibility you're still right and your reputation can remain untarnished.
The first is the lead up to it getting captured along with the actual capture and the main Neon Guy taking the cockpit. It ends with a close up of his face as he's saying stuff to sound ominous and stuff =D
That means I'll have to stay up until 12:30 watching it. Didn't know there were any 2 part episodes.
Must not be poor, must buy Trigun dvds...

I feel your pain man
The only interesting part I found about Trigun was the unconcious pairing of Vash and Knives, Vash being post-WWII Japanese identity and Knives being pre-war Imperialist Japan. I sincerely doubt this was on purpose.

Check yesasia.com, they're selling the Trigun DVD box (7 DVDs, every episode) for about ?46, which is something like $75. Its free shipping to the UK, i'm not sure about anywhere else. The only catch is that they're region 3 dvds, but they come with Japanese, Korean and English audio and Japanese, Korean, Chinese and English subtitles, also, all of the menus are in english as well.
~desperately tries not to mention something/anything that happens later~

But buying from ebay is like buying from crack addicts.
What version are they? Are they the Overseas, Japanese or Korean version. Also, is there any difference in the cover artwork from other releases?
*EDIT: Also, a warning for those looking to buy from ebay, there are a LOT of pirate and lower quality releases on there. The complete DVD collection is 7 discs, so beware if you're thinking of buying them. Hell, i think one was only 3 DVDs... hmm, yeah, they'll be good quality......

No, they're not. They're not the entire series. If I recall, they're only dvds 3-6.
I bought them from the Virgin Megastore in Times Square.

I'm not at all implying that yours are fakes, i'm saying that a number on ebay are.
(it's like baking a cake and then throwing it out the window...)
They're opened, however. Negotiate a price, I'd be willing to give them up for cheap. Less than ten, even.
