Servers Without Meta...

<div class="IPBDescription">Why... WHYYYYYY!?!???</div> Seriously, why take out meta with a plugin? anyone have VALID reasons other then meta is a horrible ability (then why even take it out in the first place if it sucked?)

I'm not saying I believe this, but maybe the admins think it makes the fade overpowered (as compared to blink, which is weak in comparison).

As far as I know, there is no plugin to take out metabolise. It's a bug in older versions of metamod. Get the server admin to upgrade and it should be fixed.

It's my understanding that it's a bug conflicting with metamod. As the poster above me suggested, it seems to be fixed in updated versions.

What I don't understand is if you have regen and try to metabolize the meta doesn't allow the regen to take place as well. You'd think you'd heal even faster with meta, but regen is faster alone. It's better just to sit there in a corner with regen then trying to meta as well.

Kotch, what you need to do is time your metabolize. Fire your metabolize immediatly after each regen tick. You will heal up significantly faster.

The regen-meta thing is a bug anyway. With any luck, it'll get fixed and you won't even have to do the timing thing.

i've heard that meta and regen properly stack in 2.1. however, i just woke up and dont feel like looking thru the changelogs to find that tidbit.

that is not bad, i played in server what had plugin what made Fade and Onos Hive 2 only, wich means if marines succesfully lockup 2 hives at start of game GG Aliens. The server admin used some plugin to make me LLama so i couldnt speak, later i got banned. WHen i brought the issue about the server made game unbalanced he made me llmama is ignorancy and idiocy compared to servers what remove meta.

Yupp, it also lets to be a fade before you have DCs up. All of the other classes are cripped with out DCs, the fade can do alright without them early on.

How often do you have 2 hives without dc's?

As far as the server not having meta, it was probably the old metamod version that the server was running, as others have said (I don't really know, but that is the only thing that makes sense). It probably wasn't a choice the server admins made.

well I would kind of notice if the ground under my feet disappeared. Though I would still have to decide whether it's for a good change or a bad change.
