Netcafe Owners - How Did You Do It?

Making games work without cds
Now, i don't want to get into a cracking, warez, whatever discussion, but please mods have some leniency. But net cafe owners, or anybody in the know how - say you have the licenses for the games, and the games. how do you make it so the games can play multiplayer offline AND online, without having the cd in the drive?
Do you just apply a basic no-cd crack to it? Because for games like BF1942, the cracks let you play offline, but online it says you have the wrong version, or something. "data differs from server" or something along those lines.
What do you do? Thanks
And moderators - if you don't like this and want to delete it, can you either edit out the words/parts you dont like, but so i can still get my answer? or pm me or something so i can go about it in a more delicate way, but still get the help i need? thanks

Contact the vendor of the product, and they usually provide you with a special copy that does not need the CD.
Steam has it planned ahead
