Another question for the NS Tech Support
Basicly... I can't access my FTP. I asked my Cable provider about some WebSpace. Hazah, they allow 10 MB of Webspace for customers. I sign up for it right away. Ok, I get it and SmartFTP to load some stuff up. But now I can't access it, and the E-Mail they sent me with my sign up info, the Password Field was empty... Now I try and connect through SmartFTP and of course, I can't connect due to my password being wrong. I signed up for a new password and have it E-Mailed to me... it didn't work and I never got an E-Mail.

The password I entered when I signed up is the same as anything else, so... what now? Complain? Or is there a way to fix this?

Call their tech support. Most important thing I can say. They should be able to step you through it on the phone, as you have a cable connection, without ever hanging up. You have a problem, you describe it, they tell you what you did wrong instantly.

If nothing else, your login/password usually is the same one you use to sign on with (assuming it isn't an 'automatic-on' type cable modem which stores all that information internally so you never see it). However, DOUBLE-CHECK the FTP address you were given. Most providers do not allow you to access their main FTP, but store all user pages on a sub-system. (So FTPing into ftp.earthlink.net would not work, when the one needed was 'ftp.homesites.earthlink.net'... again, double-check the info you were given)
