    Signed, I don't know if you had it in America but does anyone remember a show form the 80s called "Round The Bend" or "Round the U-Bend" can't quite remember which. It was about a Crocodile that lived in the sewers, was done with puppets and it was absoloutely bloody brilliant.

    full of cool stuff like 'Thunderpants', 'weeman' and all kinds of other silliness <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    gummi bears and stuff made my childhood, but I'd rather have a DVD of 'round the bend' over all of those any day ^~

    IT TOOK ME TWELVE YEARS OF THERAPY TO FORGET THAT SHOW!

    <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Oh god I would love to see some of the old stuff on DVD. Anyone remember Tailspin? I loved that. Heck, is Scooby Doo out on DVD? I know it's not Disney but I would buy that in a snap.

    Gummi Bears though....I only watched that because there wasn't anything else on. I never really saw how these bears suddenly being able to bounce gave them an awesome edge in combat. Although bunny hopping does much the same thing...Ok, the gummi bears were a bunch of exploiting CS script kiddies. That's why I didn't like them <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Round the twist was awesome, they showed the entire series again last summer, so I took advantage of my unemployment and watched it again <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    fraggle rock was Jim Henson wasn't it? and it wasn't animated anyhow =P oh wait, they DID make a cartoon version out of it didn't they? I think I remember being appalled...

    anyway, I have but one thing to say:

    He's the greatest, he's fantastic
    Wherever there is danger he'll be there
    He's the ace, he's amazing
    He's the strongest, he's the quickest, he's the best
    Danger Mouse!

    Did anyone watch that Garfield show that came on CBS? I am pretty sure it went off air. I wish Disney would buy Garfield series and run them!

    They only had 1 Plane/Jet. It was Blue/Black/Red if I remember correctly. There was 2, T-Bone[Pilot] and Razor[Weapons System]. It was great.

    How come nobody has said Transformers yet? That show literally defines the best of the 80's. What person didn't like giant robots from a technological planet (even the name of the planet, Cybertron, was cool) who fought wars and transformed into vehicles... it was a merchandisers dream!! I still have my original Optimus!

    Yay Autobots!!

    the only bad thing about that show was the humans <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Main reason would be that Transformers is already out, and continueing to come out, on DVD.

    I cant believe you Americans have seen Round the Twist? I thought that was an Australian only show. That said, that show kept me awake for over 500 man hours when I was a child.
  • GeminosityGeminosity :3 Join Date: 2003-09-08 Member: 20667Members
    uh... some of us aren't american <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
    I was kinda freaked at some of the things they got away with on the show; like when seagulls drowned an entire house in poop <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    I loved swat kats and nobody mentioned transformers because it was a given ^~
    There's also stuff like carebears too =3
