Whichbot

<div class="IPBDescription">MetaMod</div> Can any body help me with installing "Whichbot" for aliens and "RCBot" for the 'rines. If possible, a download with folder and liblist. I've been trying to install it but each time I keep failing <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo--> . Its frekin frustrating. Hope I'm not asking for much, cos I actually don't know how big the file is.

(PS: Preferably just those two.)

Muh just DL the metamod one (named whichbotxxnometamod.zip)

then copy and paste the plugins that you want to use into the new plugins.ini file that you have recieved together with the bot

EDIT : As for RCBot....hopefully you do know how to add stuff to the plugins.ini

It's easier if you download the whichbot with metamod. That .zip file contains the metamod .dll and a plugins.ini with whichbot already configured. Then you just need to check the installation instructions for RCBot and find the line to add to plugins.ini (which is in addons/metamod) to enable RCBot. Make sure your liblist.gam points to the metamod.dll and all should be fine. So you should have:

C:\Sierra\Half-Life

\RCBot - RCBot files here.

\NS\addons\metamod - metamod stuff here including plugins.ini which references RCBot and whichbot.

\NS\addons\whichbot - whichbot goes here.

\NS\ - liblist.gam which names metamod.dll as the .dll file.

Depot

Any instructions I've seen on this subject are vague to say the least. I have both RCBot and Whichbot installed on my server 66.177.40.168:27014 Depot's Nutz STEAM NS 2.01 FINAL. I had Metamod 1.16.2.0 already installed so I'll base my install on that (my server is a Win32HLDS1.1.2.0 btw).

Extract the latest version of RCBot into your HLServer folder. Be certain to add this line "Win32 ../rcbot/dlls/rcbot_mm.dll" to your plugins.ini in your metamod folder. Next extract Whichbot .70 (nometamod version) into your ns folder, and add this line to your plugins.ini in your metamod folder "Win32 addons/whichbot/dlls/whichbot.dll:. My server.cfg has this line, "wb add" to add an alien bot automatically. RCBot can be configured likewise, but I advise against it (for marines) as they won't build and humans can't join later.

Go though the readme for RCBot and setup your configs and botprofiles. Fire up your server and you're all set.

I deleted the amsterdamn thing cos I couldn't use any of the bots......
