Voice Boosting

<div class="IPBDescription">for mikes</div> My headset has a tendency to have a really quiet microphone. It's only hearable when I turn the sound up, which I don't really like. However, with steam, and it's "boost" thing, it works great.

Is there any free/shareware program that would do about the same thing as the steam booster, but I could run in the background while I play the games on WON?

It's at max...it only apparently goes up when my volume goes up...which I don't like.

Err... Yes, it's at max... But did you check the box under the "microphone boost"?

No. I mean go to your Windows taskbar and double click on the speaker icon. Click "advanced" under the microphone level and check the "boost microphone" box.
