I was going to get my computer upgraded after HL2 came out at Christmas, now I can't compare ATI and Nvidia, wahhhhhhh. Anybody else the same?

Maybe I should wait until after Christmas.

Let's hope a certain game is getting released before Christmas still.

Please don't lock this. It's not really related to "you-know-what."

I'm kind of bummed now because my graphics card won't be so awesome by the time HL2 comes out. And it will probably be cheaper than I bought it for <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->

On the other hand, I may have got an awesome processor to go with it by then <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

If your talking about video cards - This year, i'd had to go with ATI.

ATi is making the most and fastest technology beating Nvidia. Right now Geforce FX(nvidia) has a couple of problems being fixed but ATi is still better. Try a ATI Radeon 9600 or above(9800 is recommended for Hl2)

Now if your talking about computer parts, it just depends on what computer you have now. If you have a 1ghz processor then upgrade to 1.8 or above(i recommend 2.0ghz amd anthlon). If you have 128mb ram then i recommend you get 512(200 is still good but 512 is alot better).

PS. and no i didnt switch to ati just because ATI is helping Hl2 or whatever
