<div class="IPBDescription">My site!</div> <a href='http://www.cal-uk.net' target='_blank'>www.cal-uk.net</a>

Hello, I was just wondering what you think of my site. The site is a few months old... I have a lot more drawings to upload. Also, the map links don't work because I don't have time to upload my maps just yet.

Anyway, any comments will be nice. I'll be working on it a lot more, now I finally have a host.

Thanks a lot.

P.S. It would be interesting to hear from esuna <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo--> ("Mr. Web-designer person.")

Edit: Oops, I forgot to say, there's a boob (no, not me) on one of the pages... So if you're offended easily, still go to my site <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    I'm not disagreeing with you, but these were my very first attempts at drawing anime characters. Hopefully, I have learned a lot more since I drew these. I have only recently gotten an interest in drawing and I'm hoping to improve <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Your wish is my command. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

    And sorry if i do seem to go a bit over the top with my web design critiques, i just feel that a lot of the time there's quite a lot to improve on. It's not a pretention thing, i just hate crappy looking websites and if i can help in any way, i want to. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    With your site, however, i'm not going to go immensely in depth since from a quick skim, it's looking quite solid. However, saying this, i do tend to ramble... <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Just realised, i notice you're a boro lad, i should probably be nice then. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    <li><b>Design / Layout:</b>
    It's nice. Nice and solid and you've pulled off the borderless look well. I can't really fault the core design. Nice positioning of the text and i must give kudos for staggering the sections (Such as on the TFC page.) to make the design look a little more interesting. You'd be surprised how few people actually bother to do something like that, it makes the world of difference and it's not actually hard at all. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo--> One thing i feel the need to comment on, in the footer where it says "Made by CaL", i'd recommend you change this to something a bit more professional sounding, something like "?2003 CaL, All Rights Reserved", while it may look a little pretentious, it doesn't hurt to make your site appear totally professional rather than an amateur looking "WOO! I MAED TIHS!!11". Also, make your name an email link as an easy way to contact you.

    And finally on design, you forget which site you're on. The header has no title, infact the page has no title, while this isn't entirely a bad point, the titlebar also doesn't tell you where you are. A simple url name "cal-uk.net" or whatever just to let people know what they're looking at. And for the title bar, rather than just using "... Home ...", try something with your website name in it, like "cal-uk.net :: Home" or something.

    <li><b>Graphics:</b>
    Everything seems to be nice and in order with a nice consistant colour scheme running throughout. Also the 'eye' theme running is nice. There is one thing that i don't like. The large letters on each page. The font just doesn't seem to fit in with the rest of the site and also due to the sheer size of it, it looks just like an image slapped in there rather than a piece of the actual text. I'd recommend scaling it down and when it gets to the end of the letter, wrap the text underneath it as opposed to having a blank column running down the side of the page underneath the letter.

    There is, however, something with does annoy me a little in the graphics. The header backgrounds (other_top_table.gif, i think it's called...). The solid, deep red stands out a little too much, it would be a lot better if you either toned the red down a little to match that of the header image, or add detail into it (Again, much like the header image.) so it doesn't look quite so plain.

    <li><b>Colours:</b>
    Whilst the yellow does offend my eyes (I just don't like yellow), it all goes well. The eye background is a nice subtle variation to add depth whilst entirely coordinated. The white also goes well, but i think you should look for a different colour for your hyperlinks. Whilst when in large areas, shaded or bordered it stands out, when it's used as text it can become hard to read, the best (worst?) example of thisis the links page, half of it i find unreadable. Also, rather than sticking with a default black text, try giving it a different colour, maybe a dark yellow so the text doesn't stand out quite so much. While the text is the main part of a site, it makes you ignore the graphics and so on in the site, which is a shame.

    I can't be bothered to go over the code, but i've found no errors and it loads fast enough, so that'll do for me. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    I guess i lied, i did end up typing a lot. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

    you know you watch a series too much when you can recognise an eye immediately ^^;
    That first eye you drew is from slayers right? They usually use that one on Lina =3

    The artwork's ok though I'd love to see your new stuff (because I like looking at other people's stuff for some reason o.O ) and the site itself's pretty clean, quick and neat <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Thanks a lot esuna, that made sense and I will probably take a lot of it into account when I tweak it a little. I went for simplicity really. I've not used Dreamweaver very much so I tried to make the site stylish using graphics and the colour scheme, instead of fancy html, javascript etc <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Gem, I will most likely spend a lot of tomorrow updating the site tomorrow and bump this post if anybody is bothered <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Thanks for the comments <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Yeah no offense but the yellow is kind of distracting....I have a question..

    Who hosts your site? My provider (neoservers.com) hasn't been working for 2 months now and I've been getting very mad.

    BTW: Cool site!

    <a href='http://www.34sp.com' target='_blank'>http://www.34sp.com</a> is my host.

    I had a site in 2 days, I suppose it's quite expensive for what you get. But it came recommened from a friend and the site/ftp is very fast.

    Domain: .net was £20 for 2 years
    Hosting: 95mb space + 4GB bandwidth a month was £40ish for 1 year

    As for the colour scheme. I like being a bit different. I didn't really want a white or a black site. So I went for this one, a little less ordinary I suppose.
