Help a concept become reality.
As the name implies, I am starting up an internet radio station just for NS. Much like DoD Radio, some people here have heard about, and are affilliated with the development of NS Radio. Presently, we are shooting for a launch date of early September. We'll have a few servers up, but not as many as we would like. So here's what I'm asking from the community. Is anyone out there willing to donate some bandwidth and processor usage to the cause. If so, please email me at kermes@oktagone.net Don't worry, as Flayra gives NS Radio its blessings.

Hehe... alright, anything that doesn't cost money... i'm like poor or something >:O!

I'm not familiar with the DoD radio thing. Can someone explain what kind of stuff would be on the station? I can't really imagine that there's enough NS-related audio to fill airtime 24/7, so what's the deal?
-dio
Infact on gamesnet, they have a channel for NS radio
#nsradio
Hubbachalubba its DJ Famster, mixing up the decks to give you non-stop retarded chilled modern electronica straight through your speakers!
Yes, no? Not catchy enough I think, hmm..

It would sure be intresting to hear Fam's voice...
=O...
But AFAIK many ppl hear also listen to rock, so also rock. would say modern rock (stuff like limb bizkit or papa roach)/ grunge (nirvana!/ classic rock (80s and so)
You understand. Ok in fact that's what I'm listening too
50% electronic 50% rock
Sounds fair for both fractions.
u think?
No, really ... it's true.
Basically what I mean is that there are 24 hours each day when we can be on-air, and the DJs can fill that up with whatever music they want.
This is DJ Steve-ster coming here to fix all those ovens around the world.
I think I have the radio voice down.
Yay!
And DB, yeah I did, but I can still make request can't I?
It would help tremendously if you could tell me exactly what you need. I have lots of people offering to donate servers, but I don't know the setup, software or bandwidth requirements you require. How about your average Linux HL server...could that handle it? What software are you using? How much bandwidth do you need? Do you need root access?
Personally, I'd like to see Humbaba doing a strategy talk show...maybe people could recount their battle stories as well? Might be cheesy when read aloud however.
(it req more upload than a HL server (per user))

That's in fact the thing I was talking about.
My post was just some kind of personal thoughts of music.
This idea is great.
Cy, if the radio station plays something you don't like, turn it off. And grow up. Please.
Flay: check your email. Heh.
The music is mostly dependent on the DJ on duty, however, they should be taking requests and such.
Uhm... yeah. Give me a few minutes here so I can wake up, and I'll think some more.
and my in-game name can be Dj_Conan (same as in CS)
oh come on, what's wrong with a little nelly?
I believe CS radio just does an hour show bi-monthly, they read emails have callins etc.
I take it NSRadio will be 24/7?
