Going camping
Yes it's true, I, the total geek who has not seen the light of day for months, am going camping. I have oddest feeling that NS is going to come out a day or two after I leave.
Anyone wanting to join NSF will have to wait as the website is on my ISP provided space and it's username and pass are linked to all other sorts of things that could be used to impersonate me.
I'm not quite sure of my return date but it would be cool if Flay were to recieve my psycic message and release NS the day I come back.
Heres hoping the Flayra has some telepathy.

its a dangerous world out there,
Imagine if it was really a Lvl5 that ate my dessert 2 years ago at Algonquin park and not a black bear...
if there is no power there ..maybe a laptop run on solar power <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->
Good luck with the camping, watch out for drop-bears.

Any way I had a lot of fun in general, I'm in Canada so no gun for me but I've been doing some other stuff. My grandfather insisted I go on a bike ride so I went on a bike ride and that was good.
Soooo, what's been happening? 'cording to the news page NS isn't out yet. Have there been any interesting new arrivals? Any firmer dates? How many pages am I looking at if I want to see everything that's been going on in my absence?
I am now back back and will let this thread die a normal death as I expect I will have a lot of stuff to look through. As I said I had a lot of fun and even did some writing for my Saratoga stroy. I still need to redo sections of the second part but I've started writing the third. I leave you now with a small teaser. (Note this is not the final version and is my work, may not be copied with out my permision)
<!--QuoteBegin--></span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td><b>Quote</b> </td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE"><!--QuoteEBegin-->Charlie squad cautiously moved up to the doors and removed the portable turrets they were carrying from their backs and set them up in front of the doors, two each. They went back towards the shuttle.
Privates Percival and Lee were carrying the portable CC over towards the main control computer interface, followed by Corporal Smith and the Sergeant. They set it down just as squad Charlie emerged from the shuttle hatch with more turrets and PMCPs. They laid down the PMCPs in front of the doors forming a barricade and hardened them. Then they put the remaining turrets in front of and to the sides of the PMCPs.
Over at the CC Corporal Smith was puzzling over mess of wires and circuit boards that had been the Saratoga’s main computer. “What a mess,” he murmured.
Hotan looked up, “You aren’t going to have any problems are you?”
“Well their chief engineer did a sloopy job routing around the busted circuits for the comm. systems but if you give me a standard electronics kit and 6 minutes I’ll be ok" Smith waved Private Percival over.
"Sir?" he queried.
"Get me the electronics kit and my lucky micro-soldering iron."
"Sir, yes, sir," Percival said as he ran back towards the shuttle hatch.
"Hey," called the pilot over the comm, "you guys might want to check that vent on the portside walls. The hatch sensors just picked up a hot spot over there."
"Bravo, go check it." ordered Hotan.
Corporal Nathan waved his men over to the vent in question. He primed one grenade and tossed it in. Just as the grenade detonated a dog sized alien jumped out. Private Narche, holding one of the HMGs aimed at the vent opened fire. The alien fell to the ground riddled with bullet holes. Nathan walked over to it. "Definatly a wallclimber Sarge."
At that moment the CC came online. Hotan climbed in. Now the mission could truly begin...
