but, on<a href="http://www.hlrally.net" target="_blank">The Half-Life Rally Mod page</a> i noticed the streetlight prefab made by a Jon "Merkaba" Chapman & Andrew "KungFuSquirrel" Weldon
.... just thought id point that out... strange how someone thats a big fan of NS would make stuff for another mod... (or maybe hes a mapper and he found out about this mod after hlrally... anyway, its kinda cool to see someone like that, not every day you actually do see people like that... never seen anyone else on any other site/forum, EVER) unless someone from the <a href="http://www.svencoop.com/forums/" target="_blank">Sven Co-op Forums</a>
or the
<a href="http://dynamic3.gamespy.com/~rocketcrowbar/forumdisplay.php?forumid=1" target="_blank">Rockett Crowbar Forums</a>
is on these ones with a different name... other than that possibility, never seen anyone else here before, just like you havent seen me before these forums either...
the main reason for this thread is: MERK!!! ive seen someone from a forum on a different site for once in my life!!!

    You know that's funny, I never heard anything about Merk signing an exclusive contract to make NS stuff, why shouldn't he make something that would be sorta common for HL Rally.

    ALOT of NS people are on the HLrally forums, I've seen Greedo, ChromeAngel, mr squirrel, and badmofo is making a HLrally map , even I'm on the HLrally forums s:D You can love more than one mod s:)

    There was already a thread that we whined in about our mappers leaving. Don't get mad, NS is demanding and they would get bored quick. Merkaba and AW both said they would be doing HLRally. Don't worry though, we still have the best one...

    Mappers can work for more than one mod.  We aren't NS exclusive.  And some of the work being done by us is looking really good over at HLR.

    I'm doing plenty of work outside of NS, including running my own single player episode that has... *dun dun dunnnnn* a number of NS-type folks tagging along. <!--emo&:p--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'><!--endemo--> Merk made the street light upon my request for my own HLR map, so I guess <i>I'm</i> the crazy one. AHAHHAHAHAHAHA!!!

    Meh. Actually, I've got as many HLR maps in development as I do NS maps -- 2. Keep an eye out for the second one being public relatively soon. <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->

    (oh, and it's not a matter of being bored with NS -- as frustrating as my work on Eclipse has been, I absolutely love it... It's more a matter of just wanting to broaden my own horizons and try some other things.     KFS asked if I wouldn't mind doing him a streetlamp model, and I said 'sure' so we worked together for a night to get one done...then he asked if other people could use it too and I agreed, just so long as I was credited somewhere.

    well, i just thought its cool to see other ppl on dif forums for once, didnt actually mean that "MERK YOUR AN IDIOT YOU ARE WORKING ON NS NOT HLRALLY!!!"...
    well, anyways i tried hlrally's tech release (almost the full thing only no mp and and 1 car... 1 track too, but i can always make more, cheaper ones)
    just wanted to point it out in case others didnt notice...
    of course ppl can have more than 1 mod, i play sven co-op cs and soon to be NS, and possibly hlrally when its out... been watching that longer than i have NS... but i think so far i like NS much better (although neither are out, this is just from what ive seen from them)
