Weapon Disarming

<div class="IPBDescription">Alien Style</div> Sometime when I am marine, I will get attacked by an unknown alien (usually from the back, Usually fade or onos) and I lost my main weapon (when it's a heavy weapon mainly) Anyone know why is it happening?

    You should always be able to fire your weapon unless your either dead and your computer hasent caught onto that fact.

    Or

    A onos is devouring you in which case it goes all red to show your in its stomach, While your being devoured u cant fire or do anything, thier is a chance your team can rescue you by killing the onos tho.

    Do you by anychance play on voogru?? as thier is a mod that allows the commander to drop peoples guns only higher lvl guns such as HMG and GL tho.

    no, I mean my weapon literally Falls to the ground, Did that twice to me on HMG and once on shotguns on 2 different servers. Then I can walk back on them and take them back in my hands.

    most peculiar, never happened to me or anybody else that i heard of. maybe you are accidentally pressing the drop weapon button (if there is one) or something?

    Yes I would guess you accidentally hit the drop weap key. Mine is bound to 'q' so I could see how it would be easy to hit it if you use the WASD move config.

    I agree with them, u might have a ability on the same key as the Drop Weapon key, thats happened to me when I bind Voice Comm the same letter as Drop weapon, check your key bind

    No it is a bug.

    When u are being devoured in NS 2.01d servers and ur friend rescue u. When the Onos redempt and u are left behind, u cannot see any of ur weapon and cannot at all. But u are still holding the weapon. WHat u should do is press drop buttonand pick the weapon up again. It will work. However, I have come across a situation whereby I cannot drop and thus no weapon to fire and I have to kill myself.

    Yes, that is a bug. However,

    --He didn't say anything about being eaten, just attacked

    --He didn't say his weapon disappeared, he said it wound up on the floor, forcing him to go pick it up again

    --That bug was fixed in 2.01e or something, and is no longer a bug.

    ataully if you hiot "lastinv" which defaults to q it will bring out your previous weapon after being eaten by onos and the bug occurs cheers
