My hard drive is making noises
Uh, this isn't good. Whenever I start up my computer and log into a user account, my 20 gig hard drive goes KACKLICK, KACLICK, or sometimes does that 3 or four times. This is only when I log in, but it's not something I think I should be hearing. My question is, is this a "backup yer crap and ditch the drive" sort of thing or a "backup yer crap and hope the drive doesn't break" thing?

EDIT: A single typo...
Then as a less drastic measure do a full system clean up, scan for spyware, disable unesesary programs that run in the backround, virus scan, defragment your drive and then check it for errors using the relevant tools.
Whatever you do DONT take your drive apart unless you know EXACTLY what your doing.

My advice would be to download a new CPU

*raise*
(oops. I'm talkinging in MUD emotes again... that means "/me raises an eyebrow")
Thank you for your wonderful advice. I'm sure Steam can physically BREAK a hard drive, because that's what software's for, but I don't have it, so you're out of luck.
I think I'm just gonna back up stuff and hope my computer stays happy.
Nah, that's the X-Box remeber, it was supposed (by morons) that you could "download" better hardware so that the X-Box wouldn't ever go out of date.
Download.....hardware.... AHAAHAAAAHAAAAA!!!
If I could I would have downloaded a Radeon 9800 long ago....
An Illegal one most probably...
mine's on the floor so i give it a swift boot in the side
give the case a firm, flat-handed bang on the side, and all your problems are solved.
this takes practice, but the results are spectacular.
Oh, btw, my headphone jacks were fuxed.
They probably wont due to the radiation leaks from there hardware from hitting ther boxes all the time.
