Does Ns Work With The New Steam Server?

<div class="IPBDescription">A simple yes or no</div> I'm testing a steam install right now, but it'll take a while before it's done. Anyone who actually know if NS works with steam or not?

edit:
I installed the steam server tried starting it with NS. IT seemed to work fine until I tried to connect. Said something about a "UserMsg: function not available on client 66" or something like that... This might be because I need to run the steam client too, but I'm not sure. I'll post again when I have more info.

It works, yes you need to run steam client to connect to steam servers, and no you can't connect to non-steam servers with the steam client or play demos from older versions of HL.
