Sorry but the vent in marine spawn on Bast needs to go. You can’t even weld it shut from the other end anymore.     Gorges bile bombing is even worse. At the server I play on everyone gets really **** if someone welds it shut because it helps the aliens so much.

    nancy and bast sources are lost but bast was playable for 2.0 while nancy wasnt so one stayed and the other had to go.

    Yes, Bast's source was lost, pretty much just days before the deadline Flayra had set for mappers to turn in their source files to him for safekeeping. It was a damn shame, and shame on you for chastising Relic. If you think he's not upset about it, you've got another thing coming.

    Its a simple general rule:

    When you build a base below a vent without JP or GL you are a noob comm.
    You dont need to place armory, TF, IPs right were a gorge can bilebomb it easilsy. Just surrender instead.

    the 1.04 vent could be opened with gorge spit as KazModane said. The new one can simply be opened by walking to it and pressing your use key. But every sane alien leaves the vent closed since its a great protection for them while still allowing them to bile the base.
