I watched several episodes in an attempt to relate to it, found it basic and lacking in any content, flair or design. The only ever "games" TV program Ive ever liked was that thing that used to be on sky near its launch, forget what it was called. But it had that great charm of over-theatrical camp stereotype opponents etc <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

My brother was on it, the show they dedicated mostly to Quake. I still have it on VHS. I'd get some image grabs if i knew how. <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->

its certanly good stuff if its done properly, which Gamezville is not.
Heres some clips from Bad Influence
<a href='http://www.angelfire.com/retro/gamingmedia/piracy.rm' target='_blank'>Piracy</a> A great piece they did on video piracy, i remember it well. Although the idea that CDs are impossible to copy just made me laugh!!
<a href='http://www.angelfire.com/retro/badinfluence/superhighway.rm' target='_blank'>Information Superhighway</a> Wow, remember that word, this just made me laugh when i saw it, what a crappy premise
<a href='http://www.angelfire.com/retro/gamingmedia/review_doom.rm' target='_blank'>Doom - On Jaguar and Sega 32x</a> Now this is how Gamezville should be, a clip about the differences between Doom on the Sega 32x and the Atari Jaguar
<a href='http://www.angelfire.com/retro/gamingmedia/nam_movie.rm' target='_blank'>Nam Rood</a> He was and still is the Games Guru. He was so funny and also gave out some kewl cheats <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
<a href='http://www.angelfire.com/retro/gamingmedia/opening_s2.rm' target='_blank'>Title Sequence</a> Just incase you feel nostalgic
See this is gamers TV. Gamezville is gob sh*te at the highest order
I actually got myself up to watch Gamezville this morning to see why everyone was maoning and groaning.
All I can say is @#£$%&*
It was a load of rubbish, what kinda gamers would give themselves names like Theboyz?? Thats a *excuse my language* townie name. I mean I know they play games but they arent true gamers.
Once I saw about 5 minutes of a clip where they played a star trek game, and he mentioned about 6 times that it wasnt as good as the new Half-Life 2 engine coming out. Does he even know what an engine is? Obvious script, obvious.
I think the funniest thing was they were reviewing the new civ game. Talk about wrong target audience. After an exhausting 2 minutes describing the game as boring, essentially, "The Boyz" turned around and started saying "It'd be a lot better with 3D graphics", this was thrown about a bit and it got a "One G" rating because they thought 3D is better than 2D.
Why do i get the feeling that they would give Sam and Max Hit the Road/ Monkey Island 2 crap scores because they are 2D <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
they gave a game 0 G's because it was hard to control, i mean comeon, giving a game 0 out of 5 because its hard to control is a perfetic review, i'm sorry!
They seem to have a bias against hard controls and 2d instead of 3d.
So Monkey Island = 0 Gs.
I'm still waiting for reports of them saying a game needs a hovarign scorpian. It'd explain a lot.
GJ on the Bad Influence links, we love them so.
Ziggy - you're talking about the one I mentioned called Games World. Which you probably remember due to a certain Diane Youdale, or the Games Mistress. Clad in black rubber, of course. Formely the Gladiator known as Jet, you can find a piccy here:

hmm, well most gamers can't even talk properly, so how could they make a descent gamers show!!?
