Cheap Trigun Box Set?

<div class="IPBDescription">My next purchase, maybe</div> I'm interested in seeing this next but I can't find it cheap anywhere. I'm asking this in the off-chance you saw it somewhere super cheap. I want the 8 DVD <b>legal</b> version, not the 3 DVD pirate.

If I can't find it cheap enough. Are there any other good, cheap, DVD series out there? Something adult, with action and violence <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> Not Outlaw Star or Cowboy Bebop, I have seen quite a few episodes of them already.

I start a job on Saturday, so I might have a few more pennies for DVDs.

I found this thread on another forum:

    <a href='http://forums.animeondvd.com/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=region234&Number=117441&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=7&fpart=all' target='_blank'>http://forums.animeondvd.com/showflat.php?...5&o=7&fpart=all</a>

Basically it is saying that the R3 version is the same as the R1 version, and £46.42 ($72.99) (with free delivery to UK, I think.)

    The site is:

    <a href='http://global.yesasia.com/en/PrdDept.aspx/pid-1002819519/did-0/code-j/section-anime/' target='_blank'>http://global.yesasia.com/en/PrdDept.aspx/.../section-anime/</a>

My DVD player (Toshiba SD-120e) is chipped multiregion... I do not know if it will play region 3 though... I need to find out <!--emo&:0--><img src='http://www.natural-selection.org/forums/html/emoticons/wow.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wow.gif'><!--endemo-->

Region 2 = Not released in this Region

Region 3 = Can't find anything. Never heard of a 7 DVD version of Trigun...

    Region 4 ($30 AUD each):
    <a href='http://www.madman.com.au/ViewItem.php?CatNo=MMA756' target='_blank'>Volume 1</a>
    <a href='http://www.madman.com.au/ViewItem.php?CatNo=MMA757' target='_blank'>Volume 2</a>
    <a href='http://www.madman.com.au/ViewItem.php?CatNo=MMA758' target='_blank'>Volume 3</a>
    <a href='http://www.madman.com.au/ViewItem.php?CatNo=MMA759' target='_blank'>Volume 4</a>
    <a href='http://www.madman.com.au/ViewItem.php?CatNo=MMA760' target='_blank'>Volume 5</a>
    <a href='http://www.madman.com.au/ViewItem.php?CatNo=MMA761' target='_blank'>Volume 6</a> (Not out)
    <a href='http://www.madman.com.au/ViewItem.php?CatNo=MMA762' target='_blank'>Volume 7</a> (Not out)
    Volume 8 (Not out)
No plans for a Region 4 boxset. This is the cheapest you can get them.

    Action and violence?

New series coming out at the moment is Saiyuki (It's a very old Chinese tale. Don't worry, plenty of action):
    <a href='http://www.animeondvd.com/reviews2/disc_reviews/1977.php' target='_blank'>Region 1 - Volume 1</a>
    <a href='http://www.animeondvd.com/reviews2/disc_reviews/1978.php' target='_blank'>Region 1 - Volume 2</a>
    <a href='http://www.animeondvd.com/reviews2/disc_reviews/2164.php' target='_blank'>Region 1 - Volume 3</a>
Volume 4 is slated for release on the 2nd of September.

7 DVD version is the Japanese way of it, the series goes 4/4/4/3/4/3/4 or something like that. I don't think it's a bootleg, it looks official to me and that yesasia site looks like amazon. The people who bought it on that thread I posted didn't post anything about it being a bootleg.

    Infact...

    I don't know anything about Trigun... Just a lot of people say it's great... What's it about? <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

Trigun rocks, although it doesn't really pick up till episode 5, after that it just rocks though.

As far as the setting, its kinda like the old west, anime style. So its the old west w/ occassional giant robot/human person. Its set on another planet, but they lost their technology (hence, everything is like the old west). Anything more and I'd give away too much.

You gotta see it, its one of the best anime's ever. ever ever. ever.

Is there anyway to watch Trigun in England on TV or is it Japan, USA only ?

*Not much anime in the UK apart from pokemon and Beyblade <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo--> *

I don't know about england, spark. Here in spain there's a channel named buzz which plays some good series, though I don't know if you can see i there. The other channel I know that plays a lot of anime it's locomotion, but I think you can only watch it with cable tv.
Or if you have good internet connection you might try downloading the chapters using the emule. I did, but it takes about a month for the whole anime to download.
