Brightness Problem

<div class="IPBDescription">My brightness changes back to normal.</div> After I set my brightness/gamma higher on my desktop, when I join a NS game it goes abck to how it was. Therefore, I can't see barely anything. I would appreciate the help, thanks.

    Change your settings in Half Life, NOT for the desktop. Natural Selection/Half Life goes off the settings from within the configuration menu and does not use the windows settings.

    if your HL crashes than you still get a really bright desktop cause of HL and you gotta restart.... changing the brightness/contrast on your monitor does help to an extent... i gotta have my settings maxed and its still too dark but its much more fun <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    I had the same problem with my tnt2 and another monitor. I would turn the brightness in hl up when i played on my aunts monitor. As soon as the game starts, its dark again. And yes, my gamma and everything is up in my hl because on my monitor its fine. I suggest he try with a diff monitor if at all possible, or crank the gamma on the monitor.

    I have this problem... ANd unfortunately I cannot get rid of it... Ever... My moniter will stay dark and I do no have the money to buy another new one... so... I reqeust to get rid of this bug... so people can set the brightness/gamma in windows...
