Game Browser?

mIRC has become too much of a security hole for me, and All Seeing Eye is only a trial unless you cough up moola, anyone know of a game browser I can use for free (BESIDES GAMESPY)?

I use HLSW, but that requires a server IP to work. It's only good if you play 1 or 2 Servers.

just kidding. why don't people use half life to browse games? i do. just put +numericping (i think) in the target line thingy of yer shortcut, and you're good to go. at least, i am.

I use ASE and just click the "Use for 7 more days" button once a week. HLSW is very good too, but you have to know what servers you like first.

Negative, you can change the options so it updates the entire server list.

Server List Options -> Gamers Search Server List

I'm currently using HLSW, it's kinda hard to get used to, but it's good for now <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->.

Does anyone know a browser that informs me when there's a free slot of the server? I'd love that... i know ASE has a monitor feature, but that's paid version only.

I just use the plain ol' halflife broswer. I find that it does its job well enough.

I use the gametiger software 70% of the time...when I dont use that, I just use HLIT for mIRC

I get it done ghetto-style, with the ingame server browser. It's served me faithfully for all these years, I feel bad leaving it behind... but ASE is starting to beckon.

Bah, you people and your fancy game search engines. Since you have to open the game anyway to play it, why not just use the game finder they give you? Unless you're searching for someone in particular, can those third party programs really do so much more?

I use, and always have, Gamespy Arcade. Screw the ads, so it takes 10 seconds longer to get to my server listings? Who cares, i don't have to spend an age setting it up.
