Ok a few of you know that my mouse has been going bad. Well I've discovered that it wasn't the mouse, it was the USB ports on my mobo. Now, this exact same thing happened to my brother as well. Is there some sort of self destruct on them? Or are company's just so friggin cheap now that nothing is going to last more than four years. I'm probably going to have to end up buying a USB card if I really wanted USB. Yay. USB blows chunks, I'm stickin to PS/2 for all my keyboard and mouse needs for a long time. And I really hope PS/2 phases out for USB.

    yeah. no point having something last more that 4 years if you are going to replace it in 1

    Interesting though with USB2 making the rounds now...reminds of the story of the guy that fitted alarm systems that broke a week after the 12 month warranty ended and would come repair them for a "reduced cost" to be "kind" to the owners...

    Don't let anyone offer you a USB2 upgrade at reduced cost...

    why don't you just find a usb->ps/2 adapter and plug it in? ps/2 works just as well as usb (and don't you naysayers tell me that usb mice refreshrate can go up to 200hz, you can tweak ps/2 refresh up to the same level).

    Or are you using a wireless mouse?

    I have 6 USB2.0 ports. And a Geforce 2. I have my priorities all wrong. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
