get out you red and blue glasses
here are 2 screen shots of anaglyph images in NS. normaly i have a pare of $100 3d goggles to go with this, but this is for those of you who don't have them. The only disadvantages to these pics, is that in game, it's full color and in full motion. All of the blood sprites look extreamly good when they fly all over the place and come at you.

you can download these drivers for your Nvidia video card. it supports most stereo optic goggles and the anaglyph function

I like the funky akimbo weapons in the top screenie though

I tried this once at my friends place, I can only ever tolerate about 20 minutes in 3D before I start getting a headache...

unfortunaly, this 3d thing cuts your Fps in half when using page flipping. you have to run it at a minum of 80 fps to make it look smoth.

and here it is in GTA Vice city

also when using it some times sprites do not render in the right spot. but i still love it.

[edit] you also have to spend about 1/2 an hour to get all the settings corret to get the best performance [/edit]

I'd love to try this, but can it be removed? I don't want to permanently screw up my system

yes it can be removed. all the registry, dll and other system files are all new to your system and dose not overwrite any files.

Yay, found some 3d glasses from I don't know when in my closet.

That's pretty cool, especially the back of the marine's head sticking out, and the GTA one. Don't see how you could actually play with that though, seeing as it's a bit tricky to tell colors apart. Plus, my 3d glasses don't have earpieces, so I have to hold them up with one hand.

well i don't use the red and blue 3d glasses, i use some thing called shutterglasses. what that those is that every odd frame is a little to the left and every even fram is a little to the right. the glasses use liquid crystal shaders to blink at the same frequency as the screen. all the odd frames are seen my my left eye, and all the even frames with my right eye. this is what gives the 3d alusion, and how it cuts your fps in half. however those page fliping glasses alow me to see it in full color.

I can't seem to get this to work. Everything seem to be fine, but the test program is just rendered normally and so is half life. Is there any trick to get it to work?

For those who want Red/blue 3D glasses but don't know where to look: ask your local movie theater if they're showing the new Spy Kids 3D movie, and see if you can buy the glasses alone without bothering to see the movie.

For those wondering why it cuts framerate in half: it has to render twice as much stuff, one set of images in blue and the other in red.

I remember paying $20 in the mail to WickedGL for their custom stereo drivers and full-plastic red/blue glasses (like real sunglasses, not paper-ear-hook-thing-cheapo-redblue-glasses). Now NVidia's offering this for free. Oh well, time to try it out again
