Getting More Fps....

Hello everyone, I've tried all the "sticky" topics about getting more FPS...unfortunatly I cannot do it....here are my specs....

450MHz P3 (STOP LAUGHING)
128MB DDR Ram
Radeon 7500 (64 MB) Overclocked the core clock to the speeds of a 9700

    Sorry, my last post I accidently hit enter and posted it. Im also running Windows ME. It gets very laggy when there's lots of ppl. I turned off Dynamic Lights and Detail particals. Anything i can do? I can only get a good FPS when i look at a wall, when im getting attacked and stuff its really low. Any help?

    now, define bad FPS and Laggy

    the most likely problem you have is 2 fold:

    1) get a better CPU, HL is VERY CPU dominante

    2) Get a decent OS (ME realy is broken, I would sugest upgrading asap to either 2K or XP, either one. Just get rid of ME it can REALY mess you up)

    More RAM would also be a decent upgrade, and you'd definately need more RAM if you do decide to upgrade to XP ever.

    For more FPS, you're just gonna have to upgrade IMO. The CPU is a huge bottleneck.

    Do u run HL on OpenGL or Direct3D?
