in 7.62 x 39
I saw this lil gun on one of those cyberpunk webpages, I thought I'd give it a shot.
In cyberpunk, this shoots ".357 ultramax" but I thought that was boring, so now it shoots 7.62 x 39. I know it's not rimmed so I dunno how it works, but bear with me anyway
It probably doesn't fit in the NS theme, since it's a 3 shot revolver, but I thought I'd show you guys anyway

i don't know how you would do the 10th bullet ~,~
this strange revolver, built sometime in the 1990s, is togusa's weapon of choice. It is chambered for the 9mm parabellum cartridge and it's six round cylinder is hinged at the top of the frame rather than the bottom. the M207's hexagonal barrel is lined up with the bottom-most chamber for greater accuracy and the weapon's strange design is counter-balanced by a top mounted weight. It should be noted that the mateba's greatest feature is its accuracy. unfortunately, it is not as quick or as high powered as most automatics. additionally, its design causes problems with loading, making it less than an ideal choice in situations where a lot of ammo is being expended. features ergonomic grips and interchangeable barrels.
:edit: whoops.. forgot a pic
EDIT: nvm i just worked out that its ghost from the shell >.<

i mean sheenas picture not burncycles pistol
As for the Mateba, its not as fake as most people seem to think. The Mateba is a real revolver, made in Italy, and uses the unique "autorevolver" action. When the trigger is depressed, the cartidge fires and the recoil drives the upper portion of the gun backwards, rotating the cylinder, and cocking the hammer. The barrel aligns with the bottom chamber of the cylinder, rather than the top, contributing to greater accuracy. It is to be noted that the cylinder opens downward in the normal fashion, rather than upward, as seen in GITS.
The gun has interchangable barrels, and is chambered for several calibres including .357mag, .44mag, and .454 casull.

It's one of my favorite guns now I think, my first revolver, and I'm kinda in the 7.62 x 39mm mood lately because I'm going to be receiving a Yugoslavian M59/66 SKS soon
It still doesn't fit into NS, but *drools* hehe
not the recoil.. its the gas pressure...
and i would call it "semi-auto revolver" a veryfast construction for a revolver... brings in the best parts of gas loader pistols and double action revolvers
when you fire the gun a part of the combustion gases getting through a tiny hole in the barell to the gas piston inside the upper frame of the barell, the gas is pushing the piston and the connected guiding rod backwards.that spins the drum, and cocking the hammer, after that the piston spring brings the piston back in the front position for the next shot..
the round gets fired from the lower chamber to prevent that the gun breaks out upwards while firing, additional counterwheights can compensate that effect even more.. a very balanced system
I only remember one old revolver that actually slides, I think it was french
Chrono, that's an optical illusion, milkshape exaggerates perspective I think. The round isn't actually longer than the cylinder, it's just slightly shorter atually
