<div class="IPBDescription">need help with ns1.04 :P</div> I wanted to fire up a lan game of ns 1.04 for old times sake but i get an error everytime
the console tries to go away and leave me in the readyroom. No matter what map, no matter how i change the sv variables, i get this message:

<a href='http://www.frailart.net/members/amidamaru/error.bmp' target='_blank'>pic of error</a>

What do you mean no one has 1.04 anymore?
Bah! I laugh at the thought.

They have every ns 1.x file
    Try reinstalling.

    Ok, re-installed.

Still get the same thing. Perhaps having two versions of NS just screws HL up??

    Strange...

::edit:: oddly enough if i move the ns2.0 folder to another directory, it works fine. I think that even though im starting the server on ns1.04, it's trying to use the 2.0 dlls...and then it goes boom.

    sugestion:

don't move the forlder, simply rename (ns.20 for when you want 1.04 and ns.104 for when you want 2.0)

To clarify what Thansal's saying, whatever version of ns you're running, the folder it's in MUST be called "ns".
So if your ns 1.04 folder is something like "nsold" or"ns104", it won't run properly.
