<div class="IPBDescription">Like guitar? What do you play? =}</div> Just curious...
I've been playing for about 4 years now.
I like playing classic stuff like Jim Croce or Eagles. Hotel California is what got me into playing guitar. I was brought up with the classics and now I'm stuck to them, but not completely. I also like playing John Mayer stuff. I'm currently practicing the song "Neon" by him. Was pretty hard at first, but I got most of it down, even the hand slaps (talking about the acoustic version here). What I can't get is the solo that he plays on the Carson Daly show (Last Call) because...I don't know what it is!. Anybody know it? =}

The Beatles are what got me into music, but I've tried my hand at almost everything - Irish folk, punk, classical, pop...
And some days I just feel like jamming along with Godspeed You Black Emperor!. Guitar meditation, so to speak. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
Edit: I'm also a crack at the tambourine.
I mostly do little riffs, sample them and play with them electronically. What i play normally is some fast punk (none of this powerchording Green Day crap), black metal, some old industrial (like Throbbing Gristle) and mainly any other guitar work that requires little talent. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

That one is a classic. After this, I sing along with guitar solos ... "meedly-meedly-meedly-MEEEEEE".
Still got my battered mid 80's Ibanez Roadstar 2 sitting in the corner. I'm not really into it these days, but I still automatically stop and go "Oooooh pretty..." when I walk past a guitar shop..
dow do dow do dah do DOW do dah do dah dow do.
It has sentimental value.
However I suspect you could pick up that exact model for about 50-100 bucks on Ebay these days, although finding one with humbuckers rather than single coils might be tricky.
"Weeeelcome to the hotel Caaaliforniaaa, such a lovely place, such a lovely face...."
I used to play classical guitar (no pick all fingers) and I could play most of Pistolero on it and the James bond theme, and that was the extent of my musical talent.

Some bass stuff in that lot, might be of use.
Still loads of fun though! <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
