Hotkeys

<div class="IPBDescription">Im actually not a newbie.</div> Generally speaking, I've asked several of my regs as to how one unbinds a hotkey. Currently no one I know knows how.

I've asked several people, and it is my impression that there is no unbind. Basically, if one binds 1 to the Obs, but, for some reason wants to unbind it, how does one do it? I've tried to push the bind command again, but it just jumps me back to the building that is bound. Its reletively irritating when I jump into the CC after another commander was in it, and has taken up all the bound slots with useless crap.

Any ideas? Or will this be addressed in a later patch?

Dont know if it does, but it should work this way:
CTRL(or whatever crouch button you have)+number(that one you select weapons with) creates the group
    number only selects the group

so remember if you want to create new group press number AND crouch

I know how to bind, my question was how does one UNBIND the key. I mean, to Clear a set hotkey?

try typing /disconnect in the console.
that way, when u return to the server at a later time, the hotkey is cleared.

    addendum:
    whats da point?
if u want that hotkey for something else, then set that other thing to the hotkey.

Setting 2nd thing t osame hotkey will "overwrite" the old one.

I don't believe there is an unbind. An oversight in the command interface's design. Bind to something else.

You could just overwrite it like they said. Or in console you could type " unbind <whatever> " . OR, you could browse around in your C:/SIERRA/Half-Life/NS/config.cfg and look for whatever it is you need to unbind, delete that line. BUT, do not mess around with anything else. I know from experience. <!--emo&::nerdy::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/nerd.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='nerd.gif'><!--endemo-->

    I just got NS a little while so I'm still a n00b.

Here's a hint: if you don't know, don't misinform. He was talking about the commander interface, not binding keys in the config file.
