only because the sten's foregrip was ridiculously.. ridiculous.

the germans had the mp34, with the mag out to the side. they still held the foregrip 'cause it was nice n beefy.

and then they made the mp38/40 with its nubbly little foregrip, comparable to the sten's nubbly foregrip.

so they held the mags.
