Am I banned? Is it a bug? I have C-D!
Sometimes when I try to join a 2.0 game, HL suddenly crashes as soon as I double-click on the server I want to join. (Yes, I use the in-game browser because it usually works just fine for me.) Anyway, ever since 2.0 came out, my old favorite servers now crash my client. My C-D is up-to-date, and I'm sure they are running 2.0, and joining other servers I've never heard of but which have a healthy ammount of players works just fine. Does anyone know what causes this crash?
I've noticed it seems to happen more often when the server has 19/20 players or 17/18 or whatever. You know, one less than the maximum. If this is just a way of keeping reserved slots open, I think there should be a more graceful way to go about it, like maybe dumping the user back to the servers menu.
Thanks in advance for any helpful replies.

If it gets too unbearable, I'll try that Monse. Thanks.
I just really wanted to know if there was any circumstance where this is supposed to happen, like if this was how some servers enforce their bans, or anything.
Than, because things being in use can make installers go wacky. I once spent hours trying to troubleshoot a problem with an NS beta installer not updating flayra's machine with the latest files. Turns out he had explorer open on that particular window - not with the file open, just *looking* at it. As soon as he closed the window, it installed just fine. Wacky...
