Sound Ingame (ns Voicerecord Sound)

:\ my voice in NS is REALLY not good... it compleetly sucks :\ but i whas wondering if possible to build a voice program in NS! like roger wilco.

OR if you guys have some tips to improve my voice. when you hear my voice. you dont even hear what i am saying.

- use "voice_loopback 1" to hear yourself echoed. When you cant understand yourseld stop it.
- go closer to the mic. it works wonders.
- in the hl folder is a voice tweaking .exe were you set volume quality and such. enable the "+10db thingie" to make yourself louder on a bad quality.
- There are HL voice using scripts. They turn down all the ingame sound while you voicerecord. This deletes some noise. Shooting your sister helps too <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->
- Packet loss and Lag makes your mic break up on some servers. when teammates say "cant heart you" use "voice_loopback 1" to hear yourself. when it breaks up dont punish the teammates anymore.

Breaking up solutions:
stop talking , dont be commander.
search another server with better ping.
search for HL ping/network optimization setups.
Really low fps (exhausted BC) might cause break ups too.

I would suggest getting a better mic. If you can't do anything to fix it, well tough luck.

i got 3 mics..


1: normal singing mic. that works perfect on roger wilco. all other programs exept hl

2: normal mic that kinda sucks.. thats why i use number 1

3: a webcam mic. tryd this 1. doesnt work on half-life. <-- if you got any idea's how to get this 1 worked on hl.

A singing mic isn't really good for gaming. I suggest you go buy a microphone, or possibly even a headset. I got my headset for approximately $15 canadian, and it's fairly decent. And to answer your question, no there is not a way to "implement roger wilco into ns". If you wish to talk to people in the server, you will indeed need to use HL Voice Comm.
