lol why does this site even bother putting up a fileplanet download? I dont know anyone who can download from that piece of crap site... I reallly really hope the game download isnt gonna be at fileplanet(fileplanet used to work now its broken since they "changed" but it was still really slow) bah fileplanet, shockwave, aol, warez sites, all things to avoid(warez sites give you viruses and just make you go to other sites and back to theres again so you cant download a thing from em)... I am sure it won't be put only on fileplanet, NS will have many mirrors for people to download from. Some people are paying for the personal server for fileplanet, so they have no line ups and like using it. If I had the cash, I would pay for a personal server for sure. yah, I hate GSI and the evil corporation they are, but they save developers thousands of dollars on bandwitdh for hosting their downloads, so what if we have have to wait 2 more hours... <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->

Cause only mappers should be needing most of the stuff for download right now it doesn't matter much. Rest assured, MonsE, the PR guy, has let it be known that there are going to be a lot of mirrors when the release beta 1.

i like FP, i don't mind the waiting, if i remember an old game and i want to downlaod the demo, FP is the first place i go to, they have lots of files. And i'm pretty sure NS will be on FP, but it'll have plenty of mirrors s:)

most mods give many places to download from. I mean, the more mirrors the better, so NOT putting it on fileplanet is just dumb. Because hey, some people prefer it. But there should be plenty of other mirrors. I recommend Shacknews and 3D Gamers, both good sites. Plus there are sometimes smaller sites that don't always host every game file on earth, but are hosting the mod download you want (in this case NS), so you can DL w/o waiting as much and have faster speed.

And of course there's always IRC. irc.gamesnet.net #naturalselection is NS's channel. As with every other mod, I'm sure that there will be mirrors posted only to the chat window that are much faster than the ones linked on the pages (since nobody knows about em except those on irc :P)
