<div class="IPBDescription">why does nobody get what i'm saying?</div> look at those shots of NS 2.0 on planethalflife today. can you see the map in that big white block on the top right of the screen. yah barely. i complained about this before NS 1.0 was even released and here we are at NS 2.0 and it's still not changed. and this time i've played the game like everyday so i know now that there is no reason that is should be that bright. all the colors are like various shades of blinding white (let me see what colors have we got here; ok we got bright-white, fries-your-eyes-white, causes-brain-damage-white, and radioactive-white. did that cover all of them?) and even if you don't want to look at that mini-map its presence makes it harder to see the rest of the screen coz it's blindingness makes our pupils smaller. i'm gonna have to get some black tape and stick it over that part of my screen now. besides this why would someone have their HUD use that color scheme when it obviously would consume so much power to be that bright.

The mini map got changed since those pictures. It's much more aesthetically pleasing, as well as functional.

Actually.. I think that's NS's gamma doing funny stuff to screenies or something... other screenies MonsE posted also had overbright minimaps. And yeah, the minimap has evolved in 2.0...

Correct. That is not the minimap anymore. And gamma correcting the shots washes that white area out. Leeson learned here? Ask, instead of stating. That way you don't look like a dope.
