Crappy commanders doomed?

Will they get a chance?
Sorry if this is a repeated topic. I was just wondering, what if someone wants to be a commander, and they suck, or they're a n00b. How will they ever get better if everybody's bitchin em out for getting everyone killed and making them get off the seat. Will they ever get a chance? I'm worried, I'll never get to play!

When NS releases, *everyone* is going to be a crappy commander; no one knows how to play yet! Just keep practicing and you'll progress along with everyone else. (:

i think as long as the commander tries to help his team out (ie doing basic stuff like givin out ammo/health/weapons/armor or building infrastructure)and is not behaving like a total Llama most people will accept this.
Those greater tactics only develop through experience & knowlegde of the game. And of course you'll need the right marines to pull this off.. if they're just as new to the game as you are, ur triangular sideway attack from behind may fail

I exepect there will be enough basic training in the tutorial level so that when you get to play the game itself , you probably won't really suck

Well at least a crappy com can be used as a scapegoat. But i beleive there is a voting system for the marines: if they don't like a commander, they can vote him out.

Only playtesters will really have previous expierence so you can probably rest assured that you will suck just as much as everyone else. Besides, like virus said, as long as you try to do you best in helping the team, the marines will probably be very open to giving you tips and know-hows on what to do.

By the way people, lets all remember to read the manual (if there will be one) and play the training course before jumping into NS. We all will want to play it immediatly but lets face it, its a pain to repeat things over and over again to the new players.

Yeah, the tutorial will probably contain some info, and maybe someone will be able to make a really good Bot to play against and with in NS so you can practice that, or just play by yourself in lan games, practicing building stuff and placing waypoints etc . If you aren't that good, then there will probably be someone out there who isn't that good either, and if someone says your a sucky commando, make him have a go, he probably is even worse...
