Music Videos
<div class="IPBDescription">A tribute to the art form.</div> What are some of your favorite music videos? I am not familiar with too many MV's for any of you overseas, but links always help <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->.
First off, I love the Coldplay music video where they play an accident in reverse. There are so many mistakes I would want to take back in my life.
Tool videos...! Where to start? They are freakishly mind-boggling. Clay can make life seem so abstract, such as their powerful music.

You don't have to post the music videos for your favorite band. I just want to hear about the ones you enjoyed most....besides naked chicks in Jay-Z videos.

The Scientist! YES! I love that. So poignant too.
Personal favorites, umm...
<li> The Eels, Souljacker Part 1. Can be found <a href='http://www.eelstheband.com/main.php' target='_blank'>at their site</a>.
It'll seem a 'little' strange until you've read Souljackers lyrics (can be found <a href='http://www.lyricschart.com/song.php?s=25494' target='_blank'>here</a>), but then, it starts making quite a bit of (twisted) sense.
<li> Die Toten Hosen - Unsterblich.
Won't do any good for people who don't know German, though.
<li> Incubus - I wish you were here.
People who know me can affirm that it's damn difficult to get me really, really gleeful. This video does it, for some strange reason.
<li> Pearl Jam - Do the Evolution.
Maybe the best use of animation in any video.
(Oh, and folks, you know the drill: By the time this degrades into numeric lists with no kind of communication, it'll be locked.)
uh.. whatever that White Stripes song currently playing is.. the one where its just like youre going through a tunnel the whole video... the parts with the strobe light are friggin awesome.

Done before many times, and better. Ah you young'uns... <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
The Gorrillaz videos hold a special place on my favorites list because they're really well animated, especially "Rock the House", "19-2000", and "Clint Eastwoods".
<li>Dir En Grey - Child Prey
Cool video with vampire mice in flying saucers. Good song too, although a little more nu-metal than the majority of their material.
<li>Junior Senior - Move Your Feet
Pixel graphics, gotta love it!
<li>Aphex Twin - Windowlicker
Just ... oddness.
<li>Aphex Twin - Monkey Drummer
(I think that's the title) It's basically just a robot drumkit with a monkey's head. Very odd but short video.
<li>David Hasselhoff - Hooked On A Feeling
Surreal "<a href='http://www.b3ta.com/' target='_blank'>b3ta</a>" style video for an annoyingly catchy song by the cult star <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
These are only the ones i can remember off the top of my head. I will be back with more at some point.
<span style='font-size:8pt;line-height:100%'>EDIT: Formatting issues, also added the last video on</span>
"Too many Times"
<a href='http://www.tranceaddict.com/music_videos.shtml' target='_blank'>http://www.tranceaddict.com/music_videos.shtml</a>
White Stripes have cool videos; the "Fell in Love with a Girl" Lego clip was awesome
<b>Linkin Park - Points of Authority</b> - heck that clip looks like it was made by Blizzard
<b>Smashing Pumpkins - 1979</b>
<b>Beastie Boys - Sabotage</b>
<b>U2 - Sweetest Thing</b>
And I thought Evolution by Pearl Jam was pretty cool as well, but I've only seen it once. And while they're pretty freaky (well, maybe just Paranoid Android), Radiohead videos are pretty cool as well. I think I like "Just" the most.
As for Anime Music Videos; my favourites are <a href='http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members/download.php?v=15045&d=24699&url=ftp%3A%2F%2Fvideos%3Aamvs%40128.223.199.127%2FHellsing-Pompeii.mpg' target='_blank'>Eternal Damnation (Hellsing played with E.S. Posthumus - Pompeii (49.9 megs)</a> and Breath of Evangelion (End of Evangelion played with Prodigy - Breathe)
Speaking of anime... they're never going to finish that series of anime music videos released by Daft Punk, are they? How infuriating... it was cool how they connected it all as a story, but last I remember was the alien band got assimilated into being humans in "Harder Better Faster Stronger".
%@&^%&%#^!!!!
Yeah, I like my DoD Video that's almost done thanks to the help of Otto.
Peter Gabriel - Sledghammer.
Any of the Talking Heads videos.
Any of the DEVO videos.
<b>WARNING</b> - NOT work safe, has some girls with rather revealing outfits. No porn, tho.

and as far as music videos..
Sean Paul Blu cantrell - breathe that SLK is amasing!
No but really i dont really watch many music videos as i anit got MTV and i just dont got a nice connection to download em on sadly stupid 56k crappy rubbish.
===============
title: Tainted Donuts
series: Trigun and Cowboy Bebop
song :Shiroi Yami no Naka
group: Shakkazombie.
Excellent editing work
===============
and Anything by Darth Punany: the god of AHL movies
call me mainstream (*ahem*) but i like that seven armies one? the one with all red and white tri-angles appearing from the centre, very trippy.
should make mor vidoes like taht
Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen, to Neon Genesis Evangelion. It's done exceptionally well, the "Galilaeo" part might make you laugh. Editing is done well, it's to a live version, and it's done well...did I mention that already?
99 Red Balloons by Nena, to Neon Genesis Evangelion. Asukas end fight from the End of Evangelion to an anti-war song...makes sense....or something. Done pretty well. I'd be all for it being to 99 Luft Balloons instead.
Engel (Angel) by Rammstein, to Neon Genesis Evangelion. The focus is making Asuka the guy from Rammstein, I guess. It's done okay, and it's the only Rammstein song I've ever moderately enjoyed (not sure why I downloaded it in the first place, but glad I did (a little)).
Why Don't You Get a Job by Offspring, to Trigun. Some of it is timed good, and looks okay, but it's not exceptional.
Actuall videos:
Tribute to the Greatest Song in the World by Tenacious D. Guarenteed to make you laugh...or at least smile at the inane antics.
Imitation of Life by REM. It's okay, if you like their music. I like Man on the Moon's video better, but I don't think anyone who doesn't have the DVD will ever see it.
Ya Soshla s Uma (I have lost my mind) by Tatu...is okay, if you like it. I like the music more than the ...kissing, but I am f-ed up, so people will probably only get it for the kissing.
Everywhere by Michelle Branch. I just like the video, and the music, and Michelle Branch....see how messed up I am?
Anime Music Video's best avoided:
Wild Wild West by Will Smith, to Trigun. Crappy song, to a crappy video. It's a waste of time and space.
Chop Suey by System of a Down, to Neon Genesis Evangelion. If you like the song it's okay, but I wouldn't get it for superb editing or anything of high quality, besides the music.
Get the Bohemian Rhapsody video...dooooo it....dooooooooit.
Side note: I turned 18 yesterday....hooray for voting, the draft and various adult media <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo--> , but why would anyone here care? heh <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> .
Listening to: The impression that I get, by Mighty Mighty Bosstones.
yea...is there a video for it?
lol Yeah, it's him wrecking shop like my in my videos.
Aphex Twin: Come to Daddy - A damn bizarre video definitely worth the time
Autechre: Gantz Graf - The song is typically pointless "yeah-we-know-how-to-tweak-the-synthesizer"-IDM, but the CGI in the video is very clever and somewhat unfriendly to the eyes too
<a href='ftp://www.ohgr.org/cracker/cracker_Full.mov' target='_blank'>Ohgr: Cracker</a> - Ex-Skinny Puppy vocalist Ogre makes fun of shock art and people who cashed in on SP. Funny as heck.
<a href='http://zedstatic.cbc.ca/users/x/xtul/files/majik.mov' target='_blank'>Ohgr: maJiK</a> - Nice, rather odd CGI-stuff
Björk: Yoga, All is Full of Love - Both of these videos are pretty beyond words
I'd also suggest the Antichrist Superstar-era Marilyn Manson videos. The music may not be to your, or anyone else's taste, but the videos (The Beautiful People, Tourniquet, The Long Hard Road Out of Hell) are visually very impressive.
Yea, but i prefer either "Follow the leader" or thoughtless.... oh man i love thoughtless.... <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
*Smacks forehead*
How the hell could I have FORGOTTEN???
Yes yes - absolutely yes, especially the full version from his - rather rubbishy - film where he spins in a circle firing tommy guns. But even the edited one kicks arse like nothing else. Stunning!
