My favorite dreams have sort of been RPGs, only they're not games. I have an adventure, but not based on a game (though I've had a few freaking awesome dreams that I was the Master Chief in Halo). One of them was a mix of Halo, Natural-Selection, and Aliens vs. Predator 2... I could elaborate on it and tell the whole story, but it's long and you probably don't want to hear it. I have that premonition thing a lot, ever since I can remember I would have a dream for a few minutes and then a week or so later it would happen, unforunately I only get visions of completely boring and insignificant stuff like walking down a hall or getting on/off the subway.

    Then I started with my hardcore gaming habits and my imagination took a major hit. Before I had a TV or computer I probably could've written a few novels in a few months, heh. Now the extent of my imagination is making an AK-47 noise and twiching my hands.

    /me shudders.

    Actually no.

    Most dreams last between 10 seconds to 20 minutes. It may seem that it lasted longer, but the way the brain "plays" your dreams is often all at once. Think of it like watching a movie, but watching all parts at the same time.

    I once dozed off for about 2 minutes and when i woke up and still remembered my dream it felt like a few hours went by.

    I have one where all ns-players will work as a team in pubs. It is one that will never come true.

    And I haven't actually remembered a dream for at least a year... it's creepy.

    I keep having these dreams of a girl I have a crush on, who I know is out of my league, but think might like me, because of the way she looks at me sometimes, even though we barely have talked....

    I hate it, I want to dream about something cool, like time travelling and killing baddies..

    most of the time I'm in control of my dreams, but I had a bit of a nightmare the other day... about a...

    POTATO

    It was huge, and mutant, and it lived like a hive in the corner of a room, with tendril-eyes coming out of it, and its tendril-eyes pierced my flesh and my brain and there was nothing I could do about it. Eventually someone figured out how to fight it, and it retracted its tendrils rapidly out of my flesh and that's when I woke up shaking and almost screaming

    For the last few months my dreams have revolved around one of the following things (Always in first person):

    The beautiful foreign exchange student I'll never see again, and when she left I was finally getting moderately close to her (someone asked why we were talking and she said "we're good friends" , that was an awesome day...to me at least...heh) - they're nice but sad at the same time  ;

    Incoherant stuff jumbled together, I'll have to believe that it has some higher meaning, or maybe I ate something wierd before bed. I remember one very well: me and my family were eating mashed potatoes (ONLY) and we go outside, then I'm alone in a field sorta place (specifically it's my grandparents cottage, but no one here would know what I'm talking about). Then a train comes barreling outta the lake and there's lava shooting out behind it. For some reason I'm now holding a crystal that changes between colors from blue to green (and back) in my hand. Then a dark-haired girl comes out of no where, and that's the end (there's more detail but I don't want to bore you people);

    Useless, pointless and otherwise never needed deja vu type stuff;

    Occasionally being a World War 2 soldier.

    Movie-like action sequences, or variations thereof. Such as me being a dilophosaur (sp?) from Jurassic Park spitting at zookeeper type people. Being a marine in Aliens (without Ripley, wootage!). Being in a war between humans and predators. Being a Predator.

    That's about it. I wouldn't mind a Star Wars dream, heh; or more of my first type of dream. One of the cool things to happen, if you take a foreign language, is to dream (partly or wholly) in that langauge. I was an American soldier, and then I became friends with a German soldier and we were looking for a place to go. When we knock on a door the guy answering says "Sie koennen hier nicht blieben." It was cool when it happened.

    Some of those other dreams are interesting. Especially that ghost one, I have to much control in my dreams to have that kind of stuff happen to me, but that would be cool, it'd be sortof like being your own real-life hero.

    Listening to: Bohemian Rhapsody, by Queen

    Easy way for me to tell if I'm dreaming: I'm playing HL2.

    But in all seriousness.

    I once had a dream where I was in a spagetti-western-style showdown with Clint Eastwood, Bugs Bunny, and Arnold Schwartzenegger. First off I shot Bugs in the head, which exploded into carrots, followed by a bullet to Arnie's head, which bounced off to reveal a metal Terminator-style skull. I then flung a giant magnet at Arnie and assumingly fried his circuts. I then shot Clint near the feet and made him dance for the rest of the dream, at the end of which we all played DDR aned drank Double-Gulp Slurpee's. Good times.
