Close enough, except the HMG isn't green,I'd like to point out

looking good though, now all we need to do is scale it down to smiley-ish size

small size (cut in half) -- it looks odd, its blurry for some reason, anyone know why?

well, if you sice something down 50% two pixels that are next to each other gets melded, they are given te color that comes when they are mixed. This creates a blur effect. (very crude explanation ) Well, the only thing i can pointout is that the hmg is supposed to be longer, it is six times as long as it is high. The shoulder leaner thing on the back should be longer and the muzzle should be a lot longer. Looks good. It only needs a bit of picky smoothing out and it will be a great piece of work.

well how do i lessen the "melding" effect?
• EplekongenEplekongen Join Date: 2002-11-16 Member: 8915Members
you can't, you made a one pixel line and that can't get andy smaller without melding with the colors around it and appear smaller.

So there is no way to fix it cept make it super small and cut a lot of detail?

also also, how do you make pixelart in photoshop, i have photoshop 7 but i was using paint, because there are so many options in photoshop I don't know what to do, any advice would be welcomed, as I would really like to learn how to do this pixelart because I like it very much. While the original line work is great, i think you need to work on shading and texture. Yeah, it's pixel art, but shadows and the like make it look less flat.

Most pixel artists make their stuff small in the first place, and then enlarge it for show.

are there any tutorials for making pixel art in photoshop, or any tutorials for photoshop in general, because that program is kinda complicated. Everytime i try to just make a line it dosn't work, you gotta do something else and i just don't get it.
