    All you people who are getting 60fps, you might try setting your fps_max to 100 and turning off V_Sync on your monitor. You might pull it up a fair bit higher. My P3 800 with a GeForce2 actually gets 100fps if I'm not looking at anything terribly interesting.

    Coil, I've yet to even find Vsync on my options, and I have the latest drivers installed too.

    I have an Nvidia Geforce 2 Mx 400, Pentium 4, 2.1 Mhz, and I can't get 100 fps.

    fps_max 101

    It always goes back one number, IE: 51 gets a max of 50.

    You can easily get 100 fps without turning vsync off.

    It totally ****s your view and it's bad for your eyes.

    You know... I envy you, but on the other hand, I don't even want a new computer as I don't play games anymore... Yeah, I know, I know... <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    tbh... when i played NS on a 633 celeron with like 20 fps droppping to 5 in hotspots i found it ok...

    it is like you adjust to your setup...

    i then got the new p.c with a geforce 440 mx and well yeah.. not i cant touch the 633 it is like you set your own p.c as standard or something but hmm i'd like to try and get 100 FPs on my 1mb gfx card.

    My current computer is still a monster, albiet a little old now;
    AMD Athlon 2000xp+
    512mb ddr (something)ram
    Geforce 4 Ti 4600
    and a bit of tweaking. It runs HL at a theoretical 100fps constant (locked to 75 because I have a sexy flatpanel LCD), UT2K3 at medium details at 60fps, max details at around 40fps.
    It's in need of a little more tweaking (and a new copper heatsink), but it still is one hell of a machine.

    I baught the parts when the geforce 4 ti 4600 was the best card at the time...... And the sum total was £700 ^-^.
