Annoying Popups

<div class="IPBDescription">can i get rid of them?</div> I keep on getting these extremely annoying popups that says visit this site...htttp://STOPmessenger.com and i went there and it says the only way to stop them is to buy their software. But ive gotten one of these on my old comp and i went into Start then Run... and typed something in but i forgot what it was. Can someone plz help me get rid of these popups?
