Server On Dsl/cable

<div class="IPBDescription">hehe, this would be interesting</div> Well, i am not that old, but i have run a server before (counter-strike) and i was wondering since im going to build another computer soon for family file server. without lag, how many people could i have in server if running on both a dsl and cable line at once?
- dsl has 512kbps upload and download + cable has 1500kbps download/ 120kbps upload on cable
and yes you can bridge connections, to be able to run two lines at once.

    You can not run a server on both cable and dsl at the same time. The ip's are different.... but with ur dsl u should be able to pull off 14-16 I think. I used to run a 14 player server on my cable it had 3200/512... It would start to lag a lot sometimea on open fun maps with turrents mines and everything every where in one damn room.

    i keep note of that...
    my cable runs at like 1500/100 right now, maybe ill keep dsl as dedicated server line... get a 512kbps dsl line.
