GO 56K!!!
Ps:Do not laugh at our lonelyness...we are just simple modem people who envy cable people and my parents were forced to sign a 2 year contract with 56 modem company...only 8 more months to go...
I'm on a 56k in england, connecting to a US server, like n@rby and I think one other.
No, really.
It's a 56kb/s modem, but British Telecom did something evil to the phone line. And broadband is completely unavailable where I live. <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->
2 64k modems == 128k bandwith <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->
They are Australian dollars btw. $1 Aus == ~$0.5 Americian

Ditto. Only change the company name to something local, and put this:
<b>26.4 kb/s</b>
at the top. <!--emo&:p--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'><!--endemo-->
<!--EDIT|ken20banks|July 07 2002,22:13-->
And that's not "56k/s" that is "56kbps". There is a difference. K/s is kiloBYTES per second. Kbps is kiloBITS per second. Divide by 8 to figure out your kiloBYTES per second. So I get about 375k/s on downloads.
No, really.

's funny 'cause MSN says I'm connected at 128k, which I know isn't right.
/me believes we should all get free uncapped cable.
3 gig limit! I have just got 576/288 ADSL and in the first 4 days of having it, I had used 2.5 gig's worth. Don't laugh; I don't know how I racked up so much either.
yayz0rz for teh 56k!
Yup, me too! But more like 600/800... Not exactly fit for gaming since the upload speed is greater than the download. (Mainly thinking of AvP2 and its REALLY crappy netcode)
No limits that I am aware of...
And one more thing:

/me kills
at my dad's house, it's high-bandwidth cable (limited, but no limit I'll ever hit.). At school/work, it's a T1 shared by way too many people. And at my mom's house, it's 56k.
