<div class="IPBDescription">Sad desperations of an ns_groupie</div>When I saw the news of feature complete, my heart skipped a beat. The only thought on my mind was <b>"Oh my god! They're releasing it!</b>. But no... <i>still</i> more testing.
<b><u>EVERY</u></b> morning before I check the forum I pray to god that NS will be released. Every day god laughs at me and shows me the news page... same as the day before.
<b><i><u>My LAN friends</u></i></b> think I'm crazy. They pop up on my MSN and tell me "Hey, did you get NS yet?". <b>Every</b> time I fall for this cruel little joke and spring to readyroom.org as fast as my hands can carry me.
Now I am sitting at my keyboard at 1:30 AM staring at the screen. Maybe pulling my hair out will get this mod out faster. I at least had the decency to put this in the right forum.
There are 5 more days until my birthday, and I have come to grips that NS will not be released by then. But I have a simple question... <b>why</b>?
What are you chaging? Does it really take more than 10 days to iron out some bugs? Why does it take more than a week to go through a list of maps, select the least bugged, patch them up and release the game?
Do you know what this is? <b><u>I</u></b> think this is just a sick little joke the playtesters are pulling on us to say <b>"Nah, Nah! We can play a virtually complete NS and you cant!"</b>
And unfortunatly, God hates me at this moment and dosen't feel like doing diddly-squat of what I mention to him in the morning...

There were a lot of bugs. There are less now. Flayra just squished about ten earlier today. He's definitely working as fast as he can, and he's got this nifty little database of bugs to help him out with it.
With that said, its not just bugs.
Its tweaking. X weapon might be overpowered, and Y ability is useless.
And then there's the artwork, just like the news page says. Some of the models still aren't in, some aren't even made, and some need to be animated.
Now that the -features- are in, Flayra and the rest of them are free to focus on each of these areas a bit more without having to worry about writing chunks of brand new code.
I want it to come out too. I want to be able to show off this mod and forum and community to people and say "See? Perfection. Innit nice?" But perfection can't be obtained without patience and work.
So hang in there just a bit longer. Flayra 'n the rest of the team 'n playtesters are workin' as fast as they can.
we all think like that,i know the game is perfected but these pt are just mocking us <!--emo&???--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'><!--endemo--> <span style='color:"red"'>(removed for content's sake)</span> ...did u just say models werent even created n animated?...people...1 more month <!--emo&:(--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':('><!--endemo-->

Having been a part of 3 other mods in the past, I feel I know what I'm talkin about when I say: YES.

think about this. do you REALLY want them to just pick the maps that are less buggy, rather than taking the time to make them the best? You know, there was a little game called Daikatana where it was eventually released when it was the least buggy...

welcome to the real world.

In regard to the bugs. I was a REAL PT for Warcraft 3 (As opposed to a person with the cracked version). Patches came out like wildfire.
I'm not saying that the NS team is going too slow. I'm not saying that I want NS out <u>this moment in time</u>, but having it within 2 weeks would be nice.
Then again, there is no level 3 model and in every movie I have watched the marine wodel walks funny (IMO).
Take your time NS team, but do try and keep us posted as to <u>what</u> your doing. That way I know the PTs aren't sitting at their computer laughing at us.
With regards to the lvl 3 alien not having a model, that is a somewhat erroneous statement. Everything about the lvl 3 is implemented, and the model is made. Haven't you seen the pictures of it? He's damn sexy. He's probably in the process of being animated and coded in to the next playtest version in time for this weekend as we speak!
Just hang in there.
