Looking at that link...I can't believe how many people use software rendering...rather amazing. *makes mad face at people using software mode, thus preventing everyone from getting a bigger fov when skulking*
OpenGL 800x600x32bit IN A WINDOW. (Yes, I am a pervert. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->)

Anyhoo, generally it's 1280x960 32bit openGL <!--QuoteEnd--> </td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'> <!--QuoteEEnd--> nearly half using software mode? how can they stand it? the numbers must be skewed by the fact that it's a survey built into the update package. Or not, ignore me, it's late. <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->
I use the maximum OpenGL resolution thx to my GeForce 2 Ti graphics card <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
I think its 1600x1200, and it looks sweeeeeeet! (the console splash piccy looks crappy on higher resolutions though, I saw it on 640x480 once and was like 'wow, that looks incredible!' - on my res setting its just a couple of blurry marines...)
works best for me <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
1024*768 OpenGL <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> works wonders on a Geforce4 TI4200 <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo--> i used to have it OC'ed but now i undid it cause it was gonna fry :O
1600*1200 OpenGL, smaller just blow my eyes out <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo--> Like the refreshrate problems with WXP at the moment...
1280x960 16bit GL. It's the highest I can go and maintain a near-constan max framerate on my new comp, though sometimes I go to 1600x1200 for the prettiness.
and people plz stop talking about ur super good computers,make me wanna punch u in the face for being rich <!--emo&:angry:--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/mad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='mad.gif'><!--endemo-->
I play with: <b>Software - 1x1x1</b> The picture is a little blocky but I get 100fps! <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
1024*768 4x antialiasing, 8x antisotropic filtering, texture sharperning, plus max mip mapping (one of the gl_texture options).
tbh aiming is easier in lower resolutions, but I dno't want to waste my geforce 4 <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
1024*768*32, no v-sync, antialias or anisotropic filtering, can't turn that on with my crappy radeon 9700 pro, my fps gets way too low. <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->

<b>Software
320x300</b>
Now I use.....
<b>OpenGL
1280x1024</b>
Nice change <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
1152x864 32 bit
1024*768*16
1600x1200
Anyhoo, generally it's
1280x960 32bit openGL
No wonder it runs slow. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

Runs a little slow at times, but well enough so that I don't need to change to 800x600.
Methinks I should turn 32 bit colours off and make my resolution higher.
(my old PC, but now it have my small brother)
1024x768x16 (10 - 40 FPS)
PC XP1800MHz AMD + ATi 9100 + 128MB SDRAM
(my new PC)
1024x768x16 (always 100 FPS <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> )
1600x1200 makes the text and icons to small though i could live with that i like small res with bigger cartoonisher text more.
OpenGL
12xx*7xx*32
Works fine with a GeForce II MX.
640x480
