Installation Problems

<div class="IPBDescription">my ns doesnt exist after install</div> i install ns, and boot it up, it all looks nice n flashy, but when i try to, let say, create a LAN game, it only shows hldm maps :S and if i go to filter on online games, ns isnt on the list of "filter games", and if i boot HL, ns isnt on the list on "custom games", even if i hit "Update"...
and if i install ns csreatail, NO maps show up when creating a game... :S
does anyone know whats wrong?

Ah, this sounds like the all too common "I didn't read the list of most common problems" syndrome. Did you use the desktop shortcut? It is bugged. Its a known issue. Just delete the desktop shortcut and drag the shortcut in the start menu to the desktop, taadaa!
