    Yeah, it's a nifty idea, but I'm sure the mappers wouldn't like to release unfinished work for mass consumption.

    Are there any good custom non-fun maps out there?

    We should select a few, have them installed on a few servers and enjoy.

    what maps are there that are new for 1.1?     I think it's a pretty good idea. It would mean that players could learn the maps so that when NS 1.1 comes out they can just jump right into the action without getting lost so easily while adjusting to the changes of 1.1

    a lof of "old" maps have been reworked. Origin, Veil, Lost, and Mineshaft are brand new.

    i guess he wants teh version of veil with the pit you cant jump out of, and only 5 res nodes and origin where you spawn in the wrong hive 75% of the time.

    Ya know that could be very useful.

    Say you spawn at the live hive k? and then ya die and spawn at an unbuilt one: here's the thing when ya respawn at an unbuilt one if that's the case then you or someone could go gorge and start building off towers and defense towers res nodes.

    And if the marines have already locked down that unbuilt hive? You spawn into a sea of turrets and mines and die.

    Or if your hive is under attack and you spawn at an unbuilt hive at the opposite end of the map? You probably won't get back to your real hive in time to save it

    Nearly all the maps new to 1.1 are still under going changes (Origin is heavily biased against marines as of now for example and don't start with veil). By the time the maps are done, 1.1 will come soon enough anyways.

    <!--emo&:0--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wow.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wow.gif'><!--endemo--> Well I guess ya could have 4 or 5 skulks keep doing mass rushes against rines before they can get out on ns_Origin then have gorges at the unbuilt ones or whatever if they die at the live hive and suppose the marines don't shoot the hive and only go for the gorge the other skulks that died that respawn at the unbuilt hives if the rines haven't locked it down ya could go gorge and drop the hives and putup off and def.

    Hives are 30 res right?

    Oh and if yer live hive is under attack and ya die n repsawn at an unbuilt one that the marines haven't locked down yet ya could go gorge and putup the hives off def etc.


    Although I haven't played 1.1 yet and I haven't played the new ns maps except for one I've allready written tons of strats for them.
