Old Ns Maps

Could those map be brought back as new maps just with a 2 at the end? For example: "ns_eclipse2"? Just a thought.

The only thing that I could think of that could make the older version map not work is having them be either lost, or all the entities in the map would need to be changed. I play NS all day long. I think more maps would be awsome, and older versions of maps would be even more exciting bringing in a new genre or old school so to speak feel <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

Yea bring back old maps i hate it when they just take map out n never put em back the old maps proablly ruled but now we never know

Y'know, there are probably very good reasons why these maps aren't around anymore. Not least of which would be that in the earlier days of NS no doubt mappers dind't really know what was required to make a map balanced. Also note that most of the NS 1.0x maps are recieving updates for 1.1 - some are just cosmetic changes, while others (like Eclipse 1.1) being much more drastic. I suppose it's easiest to put it as the maps evolve with the game. Old maps won't take into account certain tactics found in 1.0x - no doubt there will have been issues with multiple siege points, poorly placed vents for JPers to use, etc. Do you really want maps that have now been rejected by the team? I'd much rather have brand new ones bearing the Flayra's seal of approval.
