"The Gun Katas: Through analysis of thousands of recorded gun fights, the Cleric has determined that the geometric distribution of antagonists in any gun battle is a statistically predictable element.
The Gun Kata treats the gun as a total weapon. Each new position representing a maximum kill zone, inflicting maximum damage on the maximum number of opponents, while keeping the defendant clear of the statistically traditional trajectories of return fire." -quoth the Movie

Yep it has nothing to do with this excellent movie, but I liked it, and its an obscure title like Equilibrium. <!--QuoteEnd--> </td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'> <!--QuoteEEnd--> Actually, the title isn't that obscure.
The giant building where citizens obtain their prozium dose and where the government is seated is called Equilibrium. I'd guess it's named that because prozium keeps the people complacent and the society balanced.

On another note, anyone have logos or clip-art from the movie? My new laptop is named 'Grammaton', and I'd like to mod the boot screen, background, and at least the My Computer icon. Maybe the Recycle Bin into a Prozium dispenser as well.
Yeah, a couple of my friends had clued me in to the movie and they were making comments about the kid through the whole movie... didn't quite give it away but close.
i have the dvd and i LOVE the movie but deep down it has falling points....
1, no emotion.... yet these clerics get up to go to work everyday.. and kill people... and having no emotion over that and being emotionless is technically still an emotion...
muh im rambling... i wont tell you 2-6 <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
Grammaton comes from Tetragrammaton (also mentioned in this film) and originally refers to the Hebrew name of God. Specifically its four letters - Yod He Vau He, which people pronounce as either Jehovah or Yahweh. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
And that gun-kata. Biggest load of bollocks as an excuse for just killing people while standing in one spot. At least the matrix had real dodges.

The gun fights are just amazing, especially that first one in the pitch black room. Total pwnage.
