<div class="IPBDescription">:(</div> I know im being stupid and i've done this a hundred times before without any problem,
but the moment i unzip .04 into my NS Directory HLDS seg faults on startup.

./hlds_run: line 83: 15338 Segmentation fault $HL $*

* btw this is on linux and my HLDS_run file looks like this (lines 80-85)

<!--QuoteBegin--></span><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin-->        done # while true
else
        exec $HL $*
fi

echo "`date`: Server Quit"
<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->

** I got the .04 update from redphive, which i got it from before, and its the only source i know of |:

    Are you running the 3.1.1.1 hlds or the 3.1.1.0 ?

    Which distribution are you using ?

    Try using 3.1.1.0 that will probably work. Seems like NS and 3.1.1.1 and some distros does not work together, I know redhat has the same problem. People have run slackware, NS and 3.1.1.1 successfully though if you're really keen on getting it up and running. From what I've heard 3.1.1.1 does not give you any real benefits right now (alot of people see higher cpu usage than 3.1.1.0) so using the older version should not be all that bad.

    CS and all other mods are workin fine its just NS, if its an NS problem ill just wait for a fix, better than running different HLDS versions everywhere, heh.

    NS 1.1 will be the fix, don't think they'll release an updated 1.04 to resolve this issue, they would have already done so if they felt it was essential.
