Maybe you should stop.... nah, that's just too easy.

Seriously, if it still hurts in the same way tomorrow, see a doctor. Try not to sleep on it.

If it was just a sudden pain while playing NS, it's most likely something temporary like a mild sprain. I'd suggest waiting two or three days to determine if it's getting any better or worse, then maybe see a doctor....

....or at least someone more medically-reliable than the NS Forums. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

Well I was inspired by the Tounge Biter Guy since he got some many people helping him with that why can't the community help me with something that will not cause me to bleed to my death. <!--emo&::gorge::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/pudgy.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='pudgy.gif'><!--endemo-->

You've got tendonitis aka tennis elbow. It isn't life-threatening, but it won't go away unless you stop typing your keyboard for a while, and later (after it heals) brace your wrists with padding so it doesn't slump down.

My mom's a nurse and my dad's a doctor. I guess it rubs off a bit.

I sleep funny on my wrist all the time and when I wake up it's all stiff and painful. Probably just a minor sprain, like you have. Just wait it out and the pain will probably go away by tomorrow. I don't think you can *actually* get carpal tunnel just from using the computer a lot.

Ya most likly but it has never happened during a game of NS maybe my hand just fell asleep or something and you get those tingle things when it happens. Bleh we shall see.

Carpal tunnel can be pretty serious. And jesus, i dunno about the brace.
    "Hey whats with the brace?"
    "Sprained it playing video games"
    *Intense laughter*

While playing try to rest your wrist on an icepack to keep it fairly numb, after you finish gaming soak your wrist in warm water (80-85 degrees) for about 15 minutes, or wrap a towel soaked in warm water around your wrist. Try to avoid excessive typing or mouse use without wrist support. If pain persist take 2-3 tylenol daily, if it persists for more than 2 weeks considering getting a sling or a cast.
