Scrapple
<div class="IPBDescription">I *heart* scrapple</div> Has anyone here heard of Scrapple? Its an interesting meat product that is basically what its name suggests. However I find that properly prepared scrapple tastes great.
It is rare that I find anyone outside of the Philadelphia area that knows about it. I was wondering, have any of you had scrapple before? Did you like it?
Are there any other area specific(or ethnic) foods that you want to inform us about?

Personally, I'm not overly fond of it. I really like fish, but the bite-sized pieces of pork fat turn my stomach. Ick.

Anyone here have heard about pitepalt? A swedish dish wich consists of mostly potato and ham, squeezed in to little balls or something like that.
I love corned beef and hash, and it kinda looks like corned beef, so I'm interested...
