Winxp Server Timeout

<div class="IPBDescription">why?</div> hey everyone. my server seems to be timing out a lot lately, where can i look to resolve this issue?

1.6 GHz
512 DDR
fat pipe (don't have the specs, sorry)
NS 1.04
Metamod
Clanmod
Marine blood

    just in case there are other server ops having this issue, what cracker is trying to say is:
    open up your firewall so

    UDP packets can go both ways on ports 27010-27105
    and
    TCP packets can go both ways on ports 6002,7003

    ok, those ports are open, still getting the same problem.

    are there any other well-known fixes to this issue?

    i have to retry connecting a few times to get a clean connection, after the server is active for awhile, it stops timing out.
